Jane Russell

  Jane Russell, an American model, actress and singer who had a net value of over $40 million when she died on February 28th the 28th of February, 2011. She was a bonafide sexual symbol within the world of film, Jane moved from the midwest to California to land her big breakthrough in her debut film role with "The Outlaw" in 1943.Ernestine Jane Geraldine Russell was born on the 21st of June, 1921, in Bemidji, Minnesota. She was the only one of five siblings, and the eldest child to Geraldine Russell and Roy William Russell. She was the youngest of four siblings: Kenneth, Wallace, Jamie and Thomas. Her father was a 1st lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and her mother was an actress who was part of a road troupe. Jane started piano lessons in the early years of her life thanks to her mother. Jane later became interested in the field of drama, and joined Van Nuys High School's stage production team. Following the death of her father in her late 40s Jane decided to go on to become an experienced designer. But she was able to work as receptionist. Jane started modeling when her mother had encouraged her to. She also studied acting and drama with Max Reinhardt's Theatrical Workshop.
